Temporada tiburón ballena
Nado con tiburón ballena en Holbox, muy cerca de las costas de Isla Mujeres en Quintana Roo, una experiencia maravillosa en la vida para disfrutar.
La experiencia de estar nadando con estos maravillosos ejemplares es sin duda única en su tipo.
El periodo de avistamiento es a partir del mes de junio y termina aproximadamente el 15 de septiembre, pero puede durar un poco más.
Algunos tiburones llegan a medir hasta 18 metros de longitud por lo que también son llamados el gigante de los océanos.
La alimentación de estos ejemplares es en base a plancton , pequeños peces y crustáceos también.
Al abrir sus mandíbulas las utilizan para hacer un filtrado de alimento con sus branquias y así poder captar la mayor cantidad de plancton.
Es considerado el pez más grande del mundo, el tiburón ballena prefiere océanos tropicales y en el periodo de primavera migra hacia Australia para su reproducción.
En otras palabras es una especie de tiburón muy similar a las ballenas por eso su nombre.
El nado con tiburón ballena en México es una actividad muy solicitada debido a que el periodo dura aproximadamente tres meses; por eso se recomienda planearlo con anticipación.
